I have high approval and no rebel threat so it's not like they've got a modifier to stay away. No objectives are appearing at all that will raise it, despite the objective saying missions would appear to help with it.
Is there some secret to getting this mission done? Or is it just completely broken. Showing 1 - 15 of 32 comments. I'm having the same issue. I finished every optional quest to up the rating, though I took the cash reward for some instead of the rating boost as well as all the primary quests, and I have tourists on the island. However, I've still only got about of the required points The only solution I can imagine would have been taking the ratings rewards for EVERY optional quest but then why even have other options if its necessary to take the ratings boost?
Why even make the quests optional at all? Seems nearly impossible but maybe doable? Last edited by It Takes a Wizard ; 10 Apr, am. I'm doing the mission now. I'm in the first mission and constantly have to deal with pirates attacking me. I have two attacks simultaneously going on, on two different islands. If I deal with them, it only takes about 10 min for the next attack. This seems terribly bad by design. Is there no better way to deal with this?

That seems enough to handle to constant island attacks, the troops from the barracks just go across the ocean when they need to.Easy "Don't Panic!
Easy "Double Trouble" Trophy Easy "My Ways" Trophy Easy "Sublime Subliminal Supreme" Trophy Easy "The Governator" Trophy Various Trophies Sometimes an event pops up on the ship's return. Event pops up and Penultimo talks about space obelisk. I've earned it during mission within 10 tries but some say it takes more than launches to get this one. Easy "Double Trouble" Trophy Worsen your relationship with a faction and they'll send you a ultimatum. Refuse it and suffer their curse.
Get curse from two factions within a short time and you're good to go. Easy "My Ways" Trophy Tropicans hold protest very rarely and become rebels or guerrillas instead. I've seen only one natural protest during my thirty hour like play. However you can anger environmentalists and their escalation is the mass protest. I don't know whether it's intended or not but most of the time those protesters doesn't appear and protest ends as soon as it began.
However if you're lucky they'll appear at each mining, power plant and industry buildings. You can deal with them by clicking the megaphone icon. So trigger environmentalist escalation with actual protest few times and bribe all of them.
Anger them with some constitution and edict then finish them off by building lots of embassy. Secretly kill all opposing faction's citizens. I achieved this in modern era so I'm not sure whether it works on other eras or not.Sign in to add this item to your wishlist, follow it, or mark it as not interested.

Tropico 6 is an incredibly enjoyable management sim with a lot of charm and a great sense of humour. It's not too different from the rest of the series but you'll still find yourself playing it for hours on end. Push Square. Tropico 6 is one of PlayStation 4's best strategy games, and also one of its most unique, putting you into the shoes of a dictator rather than the standard benevolent overseer that most of these titles offer. Taking your tropical island from shacks and farms to skyscrapers and space plans is a lot fun, and there's enough variety in map design and mission objectives to mean that you'll rarely feel like you're repeating the same beats. For articles of the same name in other Tropico games, see Missions.
Tropico 4 features 20 missions in the main campaign and an additional mission in each DLC pack. The missions place you in charge of different islands, each with its own scenario and goals to accomplish. Unlike Tropico 3Tropico 4 s missions follow a linear storyline in which a newly elected president you rises to power. The descriptions below describe the minimum requirements to finish the missions.
Players wanting to achieve a higher score can delay the winning condition to play the scenario for a higher score. It's a good idea to invest some of this money into a high school. You'll next need to build and fully staff both a church and a ministrywhich will likely require you to hire foreign experts to fill all the positions. If you've built a high school, you should soon have enough high school educated men to become priests.

Alternately, you can make all four of the soldiers working in the palace work as priests until the objective to staff the church is complete.
Try to hold off on building housing until you're given the task to do so; the task is to build new housing units either 2 tenements3 apartment blocksor 5 housesso the game won't recognize housing you built before the task.
Once you've completed all the necessary tasks, your final goal is to get re-elected. If you're having trouble with the election polls, try issuing Social Security or Tax Cuts. If that doesn't work, you can always just 'adjust' the votes to get re-elected. This can be useful to kick-start Santa Clara's economy. If you want to maximize your score, choose the building type you're not using probably houses and wait until the late 90's before building them.
Build two mines near the iron deposits to the south and the west of the city. After you've exported enough iron, the price of the ore will drop and you'll be asked to start exporting your choice of gold, bauxite, or salt. No matter which mineral you pick, build a salt mine at the base of the temple complex and two mines near the gold and bauxite deposits to the east. This will give you a total of 5 mines, enough to complete a side quest Keith gives you.
This will unlock new ore deposits and allow you to turn one of your ore mines into a much more lucrative gold mine. After you've exported enough of the second ore, an earthquake will hit the island, destroying the first mine that was built and trapping the miners underground. The drill is defective and simply causes another earthquake, but you're unable to continue the scenario until the drill is bought and used.
After the second earthquake, you're required to publicly blame China, yourself, or the 'powers that be' over the incident. Blaming China is the best of the three options, since the island's economy isn't based on selling goods to China, blaming yourself lowers the respect of everyone, and blaming the powers that be triggers a random disaster. Miss Pineapple will suggest perfecting the defective drill's technology by building an Academy of Science and having at least 4 professors on the island.
Once this is done, you can free the miners immediately or bide your time in order to get more donation money. If you wait a third time, the citizens of Tropican start an uprising while the miners free themselves.
